In the third quarter of 2023, the leading social networking applications in Spain experienced diverse performance metrics across downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here are the latest insights from Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Messenger had a consistent presence in Spain with weekly downloads fluctuating between approximately 68K and 114K. The highest download count was observed in the week of July 31, reaching around 114K. Weekly active users remained strong, increasing from about 30.9M at the end of June to 31.3M by the end of September. Notably, WhatsApp Messenger did not generate any revenue during this period.

Telegram Messenger showed a steady revenue stream, peaking at approximately $7.6K in the last week of September. Downloads saw a significant rise towards the end of the quarter, reaching around 86K in mid-September. Weekly active users grew from approximately 4.2M in late June to 4.4M by the end of September.

Facebook exhibited stable revenue performance, with the highest weekly revenue of about $10.2K recorded in mid-July. Downloads ranged from approximately 58K to 69K, with a peak in the week of July 17 at about 69K. However, weekly active users saw a slight decline, dropping from around 20.4M at the start of the quarter to 20.2M by the end of September.

BeReal. Your friends for real. experienced a downward trend in downloads, starting at around 36K in late June and dipping to approximately 27K by the end of August before a slight recovery to about 32K in late September. Weekly active users demonstrated growth, rising from approximately 1.3M at the beginning of the quarter to 1.4M by the end of September. Notably, BeReal did not generate any revenue during this period.

Messenger had modest revenue figures, peaking at around $382 in early August. Downloads fluctuated between approximately 29K and 42K, with a peak in the week of July 24 at about 42K. Weekly active users saw a gradual decline from about 11.5M at the end of June to 10.9M by the end of September.
